Some of our interactive tools and services allow you to volunteer to submit information about your health, which may also be considered personal data under applicable law.

Even if you do not register with or provide any personally identifiable information to us, we collect automatically-generated information about your use of this website. Information that is collected automatically consists of data that will not be used to identify or contact you but that is about you and/or about your internet connection, the equipment you use to access this website and its operating system, information collected through various automatic tracking technologies, and usage details of your visits to our website, such as the content that you view, resources that you access and use, and the websites that you visit immediately before and after this website.
Access to some Option Grid Collaborative tools and services may be limited to users who have registered.

At registration and at various times as you use this website, you may be given the option of providing us with personal data in order to receive recurring informational or promotional newsletters about the Option Grid Collaborative via email from us.
When you sign up for email newsletters on this website or at any time, you can choose to opt out of receiving additional promotional newsletters from us.

II. How Information Collected About You Is Used
A. Individually identifiable information gathered from users of this website will be disclosed only to the Principal Investigator, the Operational Director, and the Program Manager of the Option Grid Collaborative. We may disclose, without restriction, de-identified aggregated information about our users. Contemplated disclosures include reports about website usage, distributed to website users, Option Grid editors, and potential editors, and published research.
B. We, or our contractors (see Section E below), may use information that we collect or that you provide:
i) To present our website and its contents to you;
ii) To provide you with information, products, or services that you request from us;
iii) To fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it;
iv) To administer your account and ensure your registration to this website;
v) To notify you about changes to our website or any services we offer or provide through it;
vi) To enable you to use this website to suggest a future Option Grid and/or permit you to register yourself as an editor of a prospective Option Grid or nominate another individual for such role;
vii) To provide you with access to particular tools and services to enable the development of a particular Option Grid or multiple Option Grids including completion of the Option Grid content templates;
viii) To allow you to participate in the interactive features on our website;
ix) To respond to inquiries that you send to us and to send you administrative communications about this website or services;
x) To obtain your feedback about this website or our offerings, statistically analyze user behavior and activity, and consequently, improve our website and related services;
xi) To send you personalized emails or secure electronic messages pertaining to your health interests, including news, announcements, reminders and opportunities;
xii) To extend a personal invitation to you to participate in studies or projects for research purposes (see Section C below); and
xiii) To restore the website in case of any server failure, other technical error, or to carry out future developments to the website for which we would need an up-to-date database of user information.
C. Research and Measurement Activities
Information collected about you may be used to extend personal invitations to you to participate in research studies or projects related to this website or its broader, related goals. You are always free to decline to participate in any research study or project when contacted. Such research may be published by us or those to whom we have granted permission to publish, in each case without any personal identifiers such as names and email addresses.
Usage information may also be used by us and our contractors as critical feedback for improving website content and accessibility.
We may report aggregate information, which cannot be identified back to an individual user of this website, to our current or prospective advertisers and other business partners. We do not sell or share any personally identifiable information with any third parties except as described in Sections D and E below.

A. Data Security
The security of your information is important to us and we strive to prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information. When you enter personal data (including personal health information in various tools on this website), we will use technology for encryption of that information that may include Secure Sockets Layers (SSL) connections technology, which is the current industry standard.
B. Data Storage
We will retain your information as long as your account is active or needed to provide you services. At any time, you can remove your personal data or instruct us to remove it, but you should be aware that it is not technologically possible to remove each and every record of the information you have provided to us from our servers. We will also retain your information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
We take reasonable security measures to protect the security of your personal data. Despite our efforts to protect your privacy, there is always some risk that an unauthorized third party may find a way around our security systems or that transmissions of your information over the Internet may be intercepted.
